Chews Jefferson is an event to encourage people to choose one of our many restaurants to order take-out and then come listen to the Tower Tunes Live concert on the Mahanay Bell Tower. Each Wednesday, our Mahanay Maestro will play from 12:15 – 12:30 with a wide variety of tunes.
The Mahanay Bell Tower will officially open for the season on Saturday, May 1 from 10 am – 4 pm. It will be open weekends in May and then daily from Memorial Day through the end of September. Please call for an appt. to schedule a tour at another time. 515-386-2155
Thank you to our many local musicians who volunteer to play live concerts on the Mahanay Carillon during the holidays. Many of these concerts have been recorded on the Mahanay Bell Tower Facebook page. These can be enjoyed at the time of the concert – or later as they are saved on the Facebook page.

Local musician will play the Mahanay Memorial Carillon with Christmas music.
The community will enjoy a live concert to celebrate the 54th birthday of the dedication of the Mahanay Bell Tower on Friday, October 16 from 5 – 6 p.m. Four local musicians will play 15 minutes each with a variety of tunes. The Tower Tunes Live Concert will be shared as a Facebook Live event on the Mahanay Bell Tower’s Facebook page. For those listening in person on the square, the Bell Tower Community Foundation Board will be passing out 54 Ding Dong treats along with a penny that could be used in the penny press souvenir machine located in the Bell Tower lobby.
The Mahanay Bell Tower has moved to October hours open each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Those wanting to make an appointment for a tour at other times can call Jefferson Matters: Main Street & Chamber at 515-386-2155.
